So, here we are.
We planned on doing a couple of real short, quick & dirty demos and ended up doing 5 songs and being the perfectionists that we are – we did our damnedest to make them sound fantastic. For being recorded guerilla style over a total of 10 hours (or so the crow flys), I think they sound pretty good.
While saying, “live to pro-tools” sure isn’t as romantic as saying “live to tape” we can promise you a few things. That WYHIWHG or ‘What You Hear Is What You Get’. We didn’t edit, copy & paste or auto-tune anything. We wanted them to be as live as possible. We did mix them and add EQ, compression, delay, and reverb but no fancy tricks for us.
We hope you appreciate our honesty and respect for you and understand that 99% of what you hear in music now days is beat aligned and auto-tuned and made in a god damned computer. We won’t lie to you – if we are going to auto-tune something or copy & paste or do anything like that – we will tell you! no need to hide it. Come on, we are all adults here.
Anyway, we will have these demos ready to tango very very soon. They will be available for download and listening and then we will have you vote! About your favorites!
We also have a show November 28th at Reggie’s in Chicago with The Gay Blades. I love them, you love them (and just don’t know yet) and the show will be flipping deck. Get the songs, listen to them and come out and sing along with a pint in hand. Hell, bring a friend and we will make it debauchery…
